Tape Bonding is a cost-effective assembly method that uses double-sided adhesive tape around the edges to attach the touch panel or cover glass to the LCD. Since an air gap remains between the layers, it is suitable for standard indoor applications where high optical performance is not a primary requirement.

Optical Bonding
Optical Bonding is an advanced lamination process that uses optically clear adhesive (OCA or OCR) to fully bond the LCD and cover glass, eliminating the air gap between them. This significantly improves display clarity, reduces reflections, enhances touch performance, and increases resistance to moisture, shock, and vibration, making it ideal for industrial and outdoor applications.
