Display Panel and Structure: The JT020QVI40M4R01 uses a-Si TFT active-matrix panel technology with RGB-stripe color arrangement and a dot pitch of 0.1275 × 0.1275 mm. The active area measures 40.8(W) × 30.6(H) mm, typical luminance of 450 cd/m² and the module outline is 46.1(W) × 40.96(H) × 2.53(D) mm. The normally-black transmissive display mode combined with the Anti-Glare surface treatment ensures good outdoor and bright-indoor readability while minimizing reflection glare.
Driver and Interface: The module is driven by the ILI9342C controller IC through a 40-pin FPC connector. The recommended mating connector is the FH19A-40S-0.5SH manufactured by Hirose. The interface comprises an 18-bit parallel RGB data bus (6-bit red DB17–DB12, 6-bit green DB11–DB6, 6-bit blue DB5–DB0), vertical sync (VSYNC), horizontal sync (HSYNC), data enable (DE) and pixel clock (PCLK) signals, plus a 3-wire SPI serial interface (SDA, CS, SCL) for controller configuration and a TE (tearing effect) output for frame-synchronized rendering. Power rails are VCC for the digital circuit (2.8 V, range 2.5–3.3 V) and IOVCC for the logic circuit (1.8 V, range 1.6–2.5 V).
Backlight System: The backlight consists of 1 series-connected LED string with 3 parallel branches (1S3P configuration), operating at a typical voltage of 3.1 V (range 3.0–3.2 V) and a typical current of 60 mA. Under these conditions the module achieves a typical luminance of 400 cd/m² (minimum 350 cd/m²). The LED backlight is rated for 20,000 hours of lifetime, defined as brightness decay to 50% of the initial value at Ta = 25 ℃ and half the rated current; operating above 60 mA will reduce lifetime.
Optical Performance: The module provides a wide viewing angle of 80° (typical) in all four directions with a high contrast ratio of 1000 minimum / 1500 typical. The response time (TON + TOFF) is 30 ms typical / 40 ms maximum. White color chromaticity is specified at X = 0.31 ± 0.05 and Y = 0.35 ± 0.05 (CIE1931), with a luminance uniformity of at least 70% across 9 measurement zones. Measurements are performed in a dark room after 30 minutes of operation, with the panel terminals grounded and the LED driven at 60 mA.
Environmental and Reliability Performance: The module is rated for operation from −20 ℃ to +70 ℃ and storage from −30 ℃ to +80 ℃. Reliability qualification includes high/low temperature storage (80 ℃ / −30 ℃, 240 hours), high/low temperature operation (70 ℃ / −20 ℃, 240 hours), high-temperature/high-humidity operation (60 ℃ / 90% RH, 240 hours), thermal shock (−30 ℃ to +80 ℃, 100 cycles), sweep vibration (10–55 Hz, 2G, 2 hours per axis), random package vibration, 60 cm package drop testing and ESD testing (contact ±4 kV, air ±8 kV). Acceptance criteria cover functionality, appearance, brightness, uniformity and chromaticity.
General Precautions: The glass panel must be handled with care to avoid mechanical shock. The polarizer is soft and easily scratched — clean only with isopropyl or ethyl alcohol on a soft cloth. Keep the logic power on before applying input signals, follow ESD-safe handling procedures, and store the module at 0–40 ℃ / ≤ 80% RH away from sunlight, acids, alkalis and harmful gases.
